Don West

Based in Australia, Don West develops a soul repertoire with pop inflections, built around flexible melodic writing and a vocal performance marked by contemporary rhythm and blues. His trajectory began to draw notice in 2019 when he opened for Lime Cordiale before he had released any material, and then uploaded “Money” to triple j Unearthed. In 2020 Don West followed with “Equaliser”, recorded with singer Hayley Mary, a collaboration that situated his work within an Australian scene attentive to the intersections of modern soul, indie pop and radio-friendly formats. His debut EP, Don West, appeared in November 2024 and established a sound centred on spare arrangements, slow-to-midtempo grooves and a direct vocal approach. Don West also performs live in varied contexts, notably at SXSW Sydney and the Byron Bay Bluesfest. In November 2025 he released his first album, Give Me All Your Love, continuing this direction between contemporary soul, ballads and organic pop.
