El Arrebato

Born in 1969 in Seville, Andalusia, Javier Labandón Pérez, known as El Arrebato, is part of the rumba-pop and flamenco-pop movement that links Roma heritage, popular song and radio-friendly formats. After an early career in the 1990s with the group Piel Morena, El Arrebato launched a solo trajectory in the early 2000s with the album “Poquito a poco” (2001), followed by “Tanto por vivir” (2002) and “Son de amores” (2004), which established his writing between sentimental ballad, portrayals of Andalusian everyday life and instantly memorable choruses. His discography continued over time with records such as “Mundología” (2008), “Lo que andábamos buscando” (2010) and “Músico de guardia” (2017), maintaining a balance between rumba, Spanish pop and more intimate flamenco touches. On stage El Arrebato favors an electric band format supported by backing vocals and percussion typical of rumba, performing as much at popular fiestas as in theatres. As a singer-songwriter he also develops regular collaborations with various performers from the Spanish pop and flamenco scene, rooting him in a vibrant network of Andalusian musicians while consolidating a recognizable identity within Spanish commercial music.
