Andrea Berg

Since the early 1990s, Andrea Berg has built a career rooted in the tradition of German-language popular song, especially schlager. Born in 1966 in Krefeld, West Germany, she began singing in local bands while working as a nurse before being discovered by producer Eugen Römer; with him she recorded her debut album, “Du bist frei,” in 1992. Andrea Berg gradually established herself in modern schlager with a repertoire focused on stories of romantic relationships, separation and resilience, carried by direct melodies, repetitive choruses and tempos ranging from ballads to dance tracks. Throughout the 2000s and 2010s she consolidated her presence with a string of studio albums, notably “Schwerelos” (2010), “Mosaik” (2019) and “Ich würd’s wieder tun” (2022), underscoring her ongoing recording activity. Collaborations with producers such as Dieter Bohlen have contributed to a highly radio- and arena-friendly sound, and Andrea Berg remains associated with large-scale tours in German-speaking countries, where her stage aesthetic combines romantic imagery, pop accents and conspicuous show elements typical of contemporary schlager.
