Alice Merton

Raised between Frankfurt, Canada and England, Alice Merton developed a songwriting voice shaped by movement and a nomadic sense of identity. A German-British-Canadian singer-songwriter based in Germany, she operates within contemporary pop that blends indie pop, rock touches and electronic elements, with songwriting focused on vocals, bass lines and direct choruses. Trained at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg in Mannheim, she came to attention in 2016 with the single "No Roots", followed by the eponymous EP in 2017, which established her world between radio-friendly pop and an alternative sensibility. In 2019 she released her debut album "Mint", where she refined a pop sound with simple structures but dense production; in 2022 she widened her aesthetic range with "S.I.D.E.S.", an album featuring darker hues and influences drawn from alternative pop and indie rock. Co-founder of her own label, Alice Merton has built her career across European and North American stages, appearances on German music TV shows, regular collaborations with producers from pop and electronic music, and touring activity centered on a band format oriented toward live energy.
