Welshly Arms

Active since 2013, Welshly Arms formed in Cleveland, Ohio, around an alternative rock sound rooted in blues rock, soul and indie rock, with songwriting that blends bold guitars, a dense rhythm section and an emphasis on vocal harmonies. The group, now presented as a quintet featuring Sam Getz, Jimmy Weaver, Mike Gould, Bri Bryant and Jon Bryant, writes, produces and records its material in Cleveland, linked to a local culture shaped by both rock and soul. After the EP Welcome in 2013 and Covers in 2014, Welshly Arms released a self-titled debut album in 2015, followed by the EP Legendary in 2017 and the album No Place Is Home in 2018. Several Welshly Arms tracks have also circulated outside album releases, notably in trailers, series and films, with songs such as "Legendary" and "Sanctuary." The name Welshly Arms refers to a fictional hotel mentioned in a Saturday Night Live sketch. The band's output continued with the EP Dangerous in 2022 and the album Wasted Words & Bad Decisions in 2023.
