KK’s Priest

Founded by British guitarist K.K. Downing after his departure from Judas Priest, KK’s Priest follows the tradition of classic heavy metal while seeking its own identity. Based in the United Kingdom, the band brings together around Downing singer Tim “Ripper” Owens, who previously sang with Judas Priest, along with A.J. Mills on guitar, Tony Newton on bass and Sean Elg on drums, who replaced original drummer Les Binks. KK’s Priest emerged publicly in 2020 with the announcement of this lineup and released a debut album, “Sermons of the Sinner,” in 2021, marked by compositions leaning toward heavy and power metal: fast riffs, twin guitars and high‑register vocals that recall the British school of the 1980s. In 2023 the second album, “The Sinner Rides Again,” continued that approach with songs focused on themes of sin, redemption and apocalyptic imagery. On stage, KK’s Priest balances original material with tracks from Judas Priest’s catalogue, presented within an acknowledged heritage framework, and is steadily carving out its place on the international metal circuit.
