Boston Bun

At the crossroads of house and electronic pop, Boston Bun has developed a musical universe directly tied to the Parisian club scene he comes from. The French producer and DJ made his mark on the Ed Banger Records label, where he released several dancefloor-oriented EPs blending the legacy of French touch, vocal house and garage influences. His tracks rely on simple structures, repetitive basslines and a pronounced focus on melodic hooks, crafted to work equally well in clubs and in more mainstream listening contexts. Over the years Boston Bun has played numerous DJ sets across European clubs, honed an approach centered on vocals and groove dynamics, and occasionally collaborated with singers from soul, pop or R&B backgrounds, notably Mayer Hawthorne. With the creation of his own label, Circa ’99, Boston Bun established a platform to release his singles and EPs, develop a coherent visual aesthetic and support other producers with similar sensibilities. Between remixes for various electronic projects and original productions leaning toward contemporary house, Boston Bun situates himself within a French continuity while looking to British and American scenes.
