Binary Digit

Based in Grenoble, Binary Digit has cultivated a continuous practice in electronic music since adolescence, operating at the intersection of acid techno, braindance and a clean, melodic electro often tinged with a melancholic tone. The Binary Digit project adheres to a DIY aesthetic in which rough textures, acidic lines and precise rhythmic constructions coexist with a taste for more sensitive, introspective arrangements. Over the years Binary Digit has circulated music on several independent electronic labels, with releases on Opal Tapes and Stochastic Releases, and EPs issued by Dream Ticket, Zeitnot and WeMe. His work also appears on compilations from labels such as Acid Waxa, Fundamental Records and Typeless, placing Binary Digit within a network close to European electro, acid and leftfield scenes. In 2021 he launched his own imprint, Postal Code Records, extending an autonomous approach that accompanies the evolution of his music.
