Info
On 17 February 2027, Malevolence land at Limelight in Belfast with the kind of set built for the pit: thick, syncopated riffs, mid-tempo stomp, and that tight crossover where hardcore urgency meets metalcore weight and groove-metal swing. Coming out of Sheffield’s heavy scene, they’ve shaped a sound that leans on ’90s metal muscle while keeping the directness of UK hardcore, driven by mostly screamed vocals that open up into more melodic turns when the songs need air. Their catalogue maps that evolution clearly, from the raw thrash and beatdown edge of Reign of Suffering to the more structured, mood-shifting writing on Self Supremacy, then the melodic pull of The Other Side and the balance of aggression and hook on Malicious Intent. Expect a show that moves between breakdown pressure and choruses that stick, with a live intensity sharpened by years on the road.
Guilt Trip opens the night.
