Info
On May 29, 2027, Rick Astley takes the stage at The Piece Hall in Halifax for a concert that goes way beyond one viral song. With that instantly recognizable deep voice, he moves between late-80s dance-pop and blue-eyed soul, the kind of tight, upbeat songwriting that made Whenever You Need Somebody and Hold Me in Your Arms such defining records of the era.
This show is also a chance to hear how his sound has opened up over time: more soul and R&B leanings from the early 90s, and the warmer, more personal pop-rock and classic soul vibe of his later albums, from 50 to Beautiful Life and Are We There Yet?. Expect a set built for singing along, carried by grooves, clean melodies, and a performer who knows how to keep it simple and direct.
