Info
Indie in Town presents Parker Fans at The Old Blue Last on 22 November.
This Dutch trio channel the energy of a cassette mixtape, translating it to a boisterous pop sound that leans on the foundation of drum samples, synths and groovy bass to shuffle styles. The main directive is simple and altruistic: get people to dance their hearts out. For fans of Fcukers, Getdown Services and Adult DVD.
Supports from Gloop Unit and Lifeloose.
Gloop Unit are a four piece band based in London. Shaped by electronic outfits of the 90s, synthesised programming forms the basis of their sound, using sequencers and drum machines to create intricate rhythms that are then blended with guitars, live drums and flute. The combination is a sound that sits somewhere between The Orb and King Crimson as soaring synths accompany jaunty flute passages and often dancy drum patterns.
Lifeloose is a freaky experimental electronic duo marching through subgenres of dance music.
