Info
On April 29, 2027, The Primitives land at The Prince Albert in Brighton for a close-up set that puts the spotlight back on what they do best: tight, fast indie pop with jangly guitars and a punk snap. Born out of the late-80s UK scene, the Coventry band built its identity around bright melodies, punchy riffs and Tracy Tracy’s instantly recognizable vocal presence. Expect a set that moves easily between their classic run and later material, with that same direct, no-frills writing that made tracks like “Thru the Flowers” and “Stop Killing Me” stand out, and carried albums such as Lovely, Pure and Galore. Since reforming in 2009, they’ve kept the live energy intact while adding new releases to the mix, so this Brighton date should feel like a quick, lively reminder of how sharp their pop songwriting still is.
