EMF are back on stage in Glasgow on December 11, 2026 at King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut, with special guests opening the night. Formed at the tail end of the UK’s late-80s crossover between indie clubs and dance culture, the Cinderford band built its identity on wiry guitars, sharp keyboards, punchy grooves and that unmistakable sample-heavy edge.
Expect a set that moves fast between alternative rock bite and electronic pulse, with big choruses never far away. The early-90s run that put them on the map still lands hard live, but EMF’s story didn’t stop there: after breaks and reunions, they’ve kept touring and refining the balance between pop immediacy and band energy.
With recent records like Go Go Sapiens and The Beauty and the Chaos, the current lineup keeps that original tension alive: sweaty indie rock dynamics, dance-driven rhythms, and hooks designed for a room-sized singalong. A proper chance to catch a cult British band in a venue made for it.
