Too Many Zooz lands in Paris with its 'Audio Lipstick Tour' on February 10, 2027 at Cabaret Sauvage. Born in the corridors of the New York subway, the trio has forged a direct, physical instrumental sound, often categorized under 'brass house': a brass band that grooves like a club set, blending edgy funk, hip-hop subtly woven in, and electronic pulsations.
On stage, everything rests on the impact of the brass and the rhythmic engine: Leo Pellegrino on the baritone sax carries both bass lines and looping riffs; Matt Doe on trumpet cuts through the motif; and David 'King of Sludge' Parks anchors it all with a dry, insistent punch. Discovered in the early 2010s through viral videos in Union Square, they have since extended this street format to clubs and major tours, without losing the sense of the repetitive groove that builds the tension. Through releases, from Subway Gawdz to self-produced EPs, their music leans into endurance and energy, somewhere between urban jazz and dance culture.
