The Womack Sisters
Led by Kucha, Zeimani and BG, The Womack Sisters bring together three sisters from the Womack family, raised across several countries and nurtured from an early age by a musical environment tied to their family circle, both on stage and in the studio. Their journey sits within a tradition of soul and rhythm and blues inherited from this history, with vocal work focused on harmonies, the alternation of lead voices, and writing that also draws from gospel and pop soul. The Womack Sisters emerged under this name in the mid-2010s and recorded in 2016, with producer Gabriel Roth, their first 45‑rpm single If You Want Me / I Just Don’t Want You (To Say Goodbye), released in 2017. This start places them in an organic-sounding soul aesthetic, attentive to arrangements and vocal textures, without aiming for pure retro recreation. As a trio, The Womack Sisters develop a dynamic based on the complementarity of their timbres and a tightly knit collective interpretation, in the vein of family vocal groups but with a contemporary approach to soul. Their trajectory remains tied to this balance between heritage, international circulation, and their own identity.
