On February 14, 2027, at The Fleece in Bristol, Escape The Internet II brings together three players who treat strings like full bands.
Mike Dawes arrives with his fingerstyle acoustic approach where melody, bass, percussion and chords all live on one guitar. Moving between instrumental rock, folk and pop, he’s known for arrangements that keep a song’s punch while adding a very physical sense of rhythm, the kind that feels as much played as built.
Bernth comes from the progressive and instrumental metal side, with writing driven by modern riffs, fast runs and neoclassical lines. After years as a touring guitarist and studio player, his solo work focuses on precision and tight structures without losing the live energy.
Charles Berthoud puts solo bass in the spotlight, mixing chords, harmonics, percussive attacks and two-handed tapping into dense but clear compositions. Rock, jazz fusion and a classical-minded sense of form collide, turning the bass into rhythm section and lead voice at once.
