A Norwegian trumpeter and a Greek pianist: it is hard to imagine greater contrasts in temperature and temperament. And yet, Nils Petter Molvær and Tania Giannouli meet in an organic dialogue. Improvising in all possible directions, they explore an eclectic sonic universe where boundaries between genres blur.
Even the limits of their instruments are pushed: Giannouli ventures inside her piano with various objects, while Molvær manipulates his trumpet sounds with electronics or blows directly into the piano. In a shared journey, this duo opens up a soundscape where rawness and poetry continuously merge.
