Info
Dan Whitlam lands at Hackney Church in London on 23 October 2026 with a show that sits right on the border between spoken word, alternative rap and performance poetry. Coming out of South London, he built his early momentum through short, story-led videos, then took that sharp, flexible phrasing onto stages across the capital and onto the airwaves, from BBC Radio 4 to BBC Radio 1.
Onstage, Whitlam’s writing zooms in on ordinary lives: the weird pressure of your twenties, the messy step into adulthood, and the way bigger issues like the climate crisis leak into everyday conversations. His debut album Strangers (Again), released in February 2026, pushes that same mix of introspection and social observation, carried by understated hip-hop rhythms and a voice that knows when to hold back and when to hit hard. Expect narrative lyrics, direct delivery, and a set that feels like a live film made of small details and big questions.
