Dan Whitlam

Dan Whitlam has been developing from south London a form situated between spoken word, alternative rap and performance poetry, with writing focused on ordinary lives, the tensions of entering adulthood and broader social issues such as the climate crisis. His trajectory was initially built around videos shared on TikTok, where Dan Whitlam stages stories of people in their twenties carried by flexible phrasing, a soulful voice and narrative lyrics. This approach led him to the London stage, with readings and shows presented in several venues across the capital, as well as broadcasts on BBC Radio 4, BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio London. Dan Whitlam then expanded his activity by touring, with a series of dates in the UK and Europe in 2025, including London, Bristol, Manchester, Birmingham, Dublin, Paris, Berlin and Amsterdam. In February 2026, Dan Whitlam released Strangers (Again), his debut album, continuing an artistic universe that blends introspection, social observation and understated hip‑hop rhythms. Alongside his music, he also works as an actor, with appearances in Trigger Point, A Discovery of Witches and the stage production 10 Reasons Why.
