On July 6, 2027, Simply Red bring their 'Summer Funk’27' show to Mönchengladbach's SparkassenPark. At the center is, as always, Mick Hucknall: his instantly recognizable voice and his feel for soul-pop have shaped the band's sound since the eighties, somewhere between blue-eyed soul, soft rock, and a hint of funk.
Live, you can expect a set that brings together the major milestones of their career: early breakthrough moments from the era of Picture Book, the more elegant, produced years around Men and Women, A New Flame and Stars, and the hits from the nineties, during which Simply Red moved between original songs and distinctive cover versions.
