Osees land in London on 10 June 2027 at the Troxy with this nerve-wracking, kinetic rock shaped around John Dwyer. Born in San Francisco in the late 1990s, the project has worn several guises and gone by several names (OCS, Thee Oh Sees, Oh Sees) before settling in Los Angeles, never losing that taste for organized chaos.
On stage, the band plays with contrasts: rough garage rock, expansive psychedelia, punk edges and experimental forays, all threaded through repetitive motifs reminiscent of krautrock. The current setup, with a rhythm section doubled on drums, pushes the music toward something very physical, between tight, compact tracks and long, sprawling digressions. From The Master’s Bedroom Is Worth Spending a Night In to Orc, Smote Reverser, Face Stabber or Intercepted Message, their repertoire remains an unpredictable playground, tailor-made for the live show.
