Bénabar is the art of telling the everyday without posing, with precise writing, vividly drawn characters and that eye for detail that hits the mark. Since the early 2000s, Bruno Nicolini has been delivering a string of song-narratives where humor surfaces, where domestic scenes take on the air of small comedies, and where the music sails between pop, discreet swing and touches of light jazz. From Le Dîner to his more recent albums, his repertoire moves forward like a chronicle in motion, between dialogue, absurd situations and a low-key melancholy. On stage, everything comes down to tempo and dexterity: Bénabar plays with words, storytelling and the energy of the band to give body to his stories, without overdoing it, simply by living them. He will be in concert on March 4, 2027 at the Espace Étincelle in Bergerac, for an evening centered on this narrative French chanson that is sung the way one tells a story.
