Leon Vynehall returns to the decks for an open-to-close set at Standard Time in Toronto on August 29, 2026. A British producer and DJ, he first made a name for himself in the early 2010s with house and deep house maxis where driving rhythms, soulful samples, and hushed atmospheres intersected, before expanding his terrain toward more narrative and hybrid forms.
Between the club energy of Rojus (Designed to Dance) and the more cinematic detours of Nothing Is Still, released on Ninja Tune, Vynehall blurs the boundary between music made for dancing and more introspective listening, blending repetitive groove, ambient textures, and minimalist motifs. The open-to-close format suits him well: it gives him time to construct a trajectory, build tension, and then allow for more experimental breaths, without having to be confined to the peak-time moment.
