Sofie Royer returns to the stage to celebrate the release of before/after, her new album on Stones Throw. Born in California and trained at the Vienna Conservatory, she forges a synth-pop with quirky edges just enough: crisp melodies, vivid visual details in her mind, and that Europe/United States blend that has charmed since Cult Survivor, Harlequin, and Young-Girl Forever. Having served as creative director at Boiler Room and at NTS Radio, Royer has maintained a taste for formats that are accessible as well as for discreet offbeat touches, between romance and strangeness.
On 17 September 2026 at Rough Trade East (London), she will perform live followed by a signing session, an opportunity to hear her new tracks up close and to see how they take shape on stage, between synth-pop and highly accomplished melodic writing.
