Kaleo lands in Cologne on March 11, 2027 at the Palladium with the 'Way Down We Go Tour'. Formed near Reykjavik, the Icelandic quartet built itself on an instinctive mix of blues rock, folk and alternative rock, with a strong taste for contrasts: tense electric riffs on one side, acoustic breaths on the other, always returning to the same intensity. At the center is the voice of Jökull “JJ Julius Son” Júlíusson, at once rasping and inhabited, guiding the group like a unifying thread. Around him, Davíð Antonsson, Daníel Kristjánsson and Rubin Pollock add depth to this sound nourished by American influences, between pulsating roots influences, soulful touches and direct rock energy. After a first album in Iceland and then settling in the United States, Kaleo broadened its playground with A/B and confirmed the formula with the album Surface Sounds, letting in more atmospheric colors without losing the foundation. On stage, their music takes on a rougher dimension, built from tension, silences and clear crescendos.
