I nearly titled this show ‘The Pleasure.’ And then I told myself that the only pleasures one would think of when faced with a title like that would be pleasures forbidden to anyone under 18. Or, for financial reasons, I want minors under 18 to be able to attend my show as well. So I called it ‘Delicious’: it’s a family show.
In one hour and twenty minutes, I will attempt to untangle the complexity of what provokes pleasure in human beings. Of course, pleasure can come from a glass of Sancerre you linger over on the banks of the Seine in spring. But it can also be provoked by the death of a being you do not love. Of course, an unexpected promotion at work brings joy. But also the act of eating Camembert in Camembert, or knowing that you don’t pronounce the ‘z’ in Avoriaz (which allows you to feel superior to all those who don’t know it).
My objective is that this show provokes in you a certain pleasure, in a mise en abyme as pleasant as eating Camembert in Camembert.
