April Wine

April Wine brings its catalogue to Niagara Falls on March 6, 2027 at the OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino. Formed in 1969 in Halifax before settling in Montreal, the Canadian outfit shaped a blend of melodic hard rock, FM‑leaning hooks and electric ballads, long anchored by the voice and guitar of Myles Goodwyn. Through the 1970s, the band sharpened twin‑guitar harmonies and sing‑along choruses across early releases like April Wine (1971), On Record (1972) and Electric Jewels (1973), then pushed the formula with Stand Back (1975) and First Glance (1978) while touring North America.

The early 1980s delivered The Nature of the Beast (1981) and Power Play (1982), with tracks such as Just Between You and Me, I Like to Rock and Sign of the Gypsy Queen becoming fixtures in their set. After a late‑80s pause, April Wine returned to the studio with Attitude (1993) and Frigate (1994) and has since focused on the stage with a lineup that evolves but keeps the core sound intact.
