Tyla brings her amapiano‑laced R&B pop to Toronto on August 1, 2026, with a show at Cabana. Raised in the east of Johannesburg, the South African singer has been shaping English‑language pop that leans on amapiano’s bounce, contemporary R&B textures and a touch of afrobeats. She first surfaced at home with Getting Late, made with Kooldrink, then kept the momentum with Overdue (2021), To Last (2022) and Been Thinking (2023), stepping from a local scene to wider circuits.

In 2023, Water carried her further, pairing a supple amapiano rhythm with a streamlined pop format and becoming the first song by a South African soloist to enter the Billboard Hot 100 in 55 years. Tours followed, including opening slots for Chris Brown in Europe and the United States, plus collaborations with Ayra Starr, Lisa, Gunna and Damiano David. Her debut album, Tyla, arrived in 2024 and later expanded with Push 2 Start, before the 2025 EP WWP (We Wanna Party). On stage, she moves between intimate melodies and dance‑floor energy, drawing from the album, WWP and the tracks that mapped her rise, with groove at the core of the set.
