Thylacine

Thylacine, aka William Rezé, offers electronic music at the crossroads of melodic techno, ambient and downtempo rhythms. A saxophonist by training, he treats the stage as a space for harmonic writing: carefully arranged loops, slow progressions and textures that establish a mood. His work was shaped on the road, from Transsiberian’s Transsibérien to the travel notebooks of Roads Vol. 1 and 2, and on to the stripped-down reinterpretations of Debussy, Satie and Beethoven on Timeless. In concert, these materials take the form of an immersive set in which the music dialogues with footage shot on the road, creating a narrative that shifts from landscape to pulse without overstating the point. On 23 January 2027 at Le 106 in Rouen, Thylacine deploys this stage concept as a crossing: interwoven melodic lines, patient buildups, ambient breaths and answering motifs — a way of carrying the audience on a journey where sound and image forge a single narrative.
