Thylacine

On 19 February 2027 at La Laiterie in Strasbourg, Thylacine continues his electronic odyssey. Under this moniker, Angers-born musician William Rezé composes on the move, away from the routines of the studio. He has been followed on the Trans-Siberian Railway, in the Andes, on the Faroe Islands and in Turkey, where he took up the bağlama. For his new album Roads Vol. 3, he hit the road for three months, living in his 1972 Airstream converted into a mobile studio to capture atmospheres, encounters and sonic textures.

Trained on the saxophone and nourished by jazz and classical music, Thylacine weaves melodic electronic music in which loops, slow progressions and atmospheric textures mingle with instruments gathered along the way. On stage, his compositions take the form of a visual and sonic journey, supported by footage shot during his travels. In Strasbourg he presents this travelogue live—between downtempo pulses, techno surges and ambient breaths—to convey the intimate and curious trajectory that runs through Roads Vol. 3 and the projects that preceded it.
