Hugel presents: « Make the Girls Dance »

On August 22, 2026, at the RBC Amphitheatre in Toronto, Hugel presents Make The Girls Dance, an event curated by the Marseille DJ and producer around a percussive house sound with Latin inflections. First noticed in the mid-2010s with dance-pop singles and vocal house, he broadened his audience with Robin Schulz on “I Believe I’m Fine” (2017), then with his remix of “Bella Ciao” for El Profesor and the single “WTF” with Amber Van Day (2018). Since 2020 his trajectory has moved toward a drier, more efficient tech house—woven from tight grooves, club-ready basslines and catchy vocal hooks—concentrated notably on “Morenita” with Cumbiafrica (2021).

On stage, Hugel strings together originals, remixes and edits in a clear progression, from sunlit, swinging grooves to darker, rolling cuts, without losing the rhythmic thread. Make The Girls Dance emphasizes the live, physical experience—a home selection conceived for the dancefloor. Toronto will host a taut, precise set designed to sustain tension and raise the energy, delivered by a French selector who has made house his playground.
