Elder Island - Hello Baby Okay

Elder Island land at The Pearl in Vancouver, BC on September 19, 2026 for a set shaped by their hybrid approach to indie and electronic music. Formed in Bristol by Katy Sargent, Luke Thornton and David Havard, the trio work at the crossroads of electronica, indie pop and downtempo, with elastic rhythms, thick low end and airy textures that leave Sargent’s voice front and centre. Their songs often build in layers, shifting from intimate motifs to fuller grooves without losing a clear melodic thread.

On stage, Elder Island lean into the conversation between live band interplay and club sensibility. Synths, bass, guitar and pads weave around tight percussion, with looping and textural tweaks that let tracks stretch, lock in or break down as the room responds. The set draws on their early EPs and the albums The Omnitone Collection and Swimming Static, balancing hooks with atmospheric detail.
