Info
Freya Ridings brings her Mother of Pearl Tour to Poole on 15 September 2026, at Lighthouse, Poole’s Centre for the Arts. The London-born songwriter has carved out a space with piano- and guitar-led songs where pop, folk and soul meet in uncluttered arrangements, carried by a low, direct voice. From early singles like Blackout and the breakout Lost Without You, her writing has leaned into clear melodies and confessional lyrics, developed on her 2019 debut with You Mean the World to Me and Castles. Blood Orange (2023) opened the production a little wider while keeping that intimate core.
On stage, Ridings plays the contrast between hushed ballads and more grounded, rhythmic tracks, shifting from solo piano to fuller textures. Years on the road across the UK, support slots for Tears for Fears, Tash Sultana and Lewis Capaldi, and a stop at Glastonbury have sharpened a live approach that puts the song first and lets dynamics do the work. Mother of Pearl extends that thread: a set shaped by piano-led storytelling, measured crescendos and the grain of a voice that doesn’t need much to fill a room.
