Info
Against The Current land at O2 Institute Birmingham on 3 November 2026. Formed in the early 2010s in Poughkeepsie, New York, the trio – singer Chrissy Costanza, guitarist Dan Gow and drummer Will Ferri – built their name online before taking it to the stage, shaping a sound that sits between melodic pop rock, pop punk and alternative edges.
Centering on Costanza’s upfront vocals, the band writes concise, high-impact songs where driving guitars meet sleek pop and electronic textures. After self-releasing the EPs Infinity (2014) and Gravity (2015), they signed to Fueled By Ramen and dropped debut album In Our Bones (2016), followed by Past Lives (2018), pushing further into synth-led writing. Their 2017 collaboration with Riot Games on Legends Never Die cemented a link between rock and gaming culture that still follows them on tour.
With the Fever EP (2021), the trio leaned into a darker, more direct touch without losing their melodic sensibility. On stage, that translates into tight arrangements, a steady pulse from Ferri’s drums and Gow’s rhythmic lines, leaving space for big choruses and a crowd-ready call-and-response. Birmingham gets a set that connects early EP energy, album highlights and that LoL anthem, delivered by a band used to turning compact songs into punchy live moments.
