RØRY

Born in Southampton, England, RØRY is the project under which Roxanne Emery revived her career from the late 2010s onward, after first making a name for herself under her own name in singer-songwriter and electronic music. Her early records, including the EP An Introduction to Roxanne Emery in 2011 and Turn Back in 2012, were part of an acoustic pop rooted in piano and guitar, before the album For Weddings & A Funeral in 2014. In parallel, Roxanne Emery developed significant activity as a songwriter and guest vocalist on trance and dance productions, notably with Gareth Emery, Cosmic Gate, Dash Berlin, Aly & Fila, Craig Connelly or Andrew Rayel, which established her on club and festival stages tied to these aesthetics. Under the name RØRY, her writing moves toward an alternative pop tinged with pop-punk, emo and rock, with direct choruses, tense arrangements and lyrics centered on mental health, addictions, family and rebuilding. This new phase takes shape with the EP Good Die Young in 2022 and Family Drama in 2023, then with the album Restoration in 2025. RØRY has also multiplied collaborations with producers from electronic and alternative scenes, including MitiS, Trivecta, K-391, William Black, SLANDER and Blind Channel, confirming a trajectory at the crossroads of modern rock, confessional pop and melodic electro.
