Info
On 21 June 2026 at AO Arena, Manchester, The B-52's and DEVO join forces for the Cosmic De-Evolution Tour. The B-52's bring their Athens, Georgia cocktail of new wave, surf-leaning guitars and luminous keys, with Fred Schneider’s talk-sung patter threading through the harmonies of Kate Pierson and Cindy Wilson. Their catalogue swings from spiky early cuts like Rock Lobster and Planet Claire to the pop groove of Love Shack and Roam, all carried by tight rhythms and a playful retro flair built for dancing.
DEVO arrive with the Akron art-rock blueprint: angular guitars, motorik pulses and synth hooks driven by the long-running de-evolution concept. On stage, the band balances taut new wave with lean synth-pop and a visual language of uniforms and choreographed moves. Whip It, Girl U Want, Uncontrollable Urge and Gates of Steel sketch out a set where satire rubs against machine-like efficiency, channeling the group’s singular sense of order and repetition.
Support comes from The Rezillos and Lene Lovich to set the tone before the co-headliners take over.
