Starsailor

On 17 October 2026 at Usher Hall in Edinburgh, Starsailor take the stage with a string ensemble to play their multi‑platinum debut Love Is Here in full. Formed in Wigan at the turn of the 2000s, the quartet built its sound around James Walsh’s voice and guitar, with James Stelfox, Ben Byrne and Barry Westhead shaping an indie rock that leans on piano and string textures. For this set, arranger and conductor Joe Duddell leads the strings, bringing new depth to the album’s arrangements.

The band will retrace the record front to back, focusing on the songwriting and dynamics that marked their beginnings, between slow‑burn melodies, folk‑tinged guitars and the piano lines that run through their catalogue. With the orchestral layer highlighting harmonies and crescendos, Starsailor revisit the material that introduced them in 2001, without detours or medleys, just the full arc of Love Is Here performed live at Usher Hall, Edinburgh.
