Black Label Society will play the O2 Academy Bournemouth on 30 May 2026, fronted by guitarist-vocalist Zakk Wylde. Since 1998, the band has honed a heavy-metal blend rooted in classic hard rock, Southern inflections and electric ballads. On stage, expect thick mid-tempo grooves, muscular riffs and long, melodic solos, with darker hues and near-acoustic respites in between. The set draws on Sonic Brew, The Blessed Hellride, Mafia and Doom Crew Inc., anchored by Wylde’s rough yet melodic vocals. Around him, the quartet stays compact, often with John DeServio on bass to anchor the low end.
Venom Inc. represents the other side. Born in 2015 out of the Venom lineage, the band operates at the intersection of speed, thrash and black metal: terse riffs, fast tempos and straightforward songwriting. In concert they blend tracks from Avé and There’s Only Black with a repertoire drawn from Venom’s Dolan years and the classics tied to that history. Since 2024, Tony “Demolition Man” Dolan handles vocals and bass, with Curran “Beleth” Murphy on guitar and Marc “JXN” Jackson on drums, forming a tight, incisive lineup.
