Info
Tom Jones heads to The Piece Hall in Halifax on 25 July 2026 with a set that traces a career at the crossroads of pop, soul and rhythm and blues. From the breakout single It’s Not Unusual through What’s New Pussycat?, Delilah and Green, Green Grass of Home, his catalogue moves from orchestrated pop to rootsier shades, carried by a direct, powerful delivery.
Over the years he’s kept the focus on interpretation and the stage, revisiting classics and adding new chapters. Albums like Praise & Blame (2010), Spirit in the Room (2012), Long Lost Suitcase (2015) and Surrounded by Time (2021) strip things back toward gospel, blues and folk, giving more room to the songs and the band. Live, that range often draws a line between taut, horn-tinged grooves, deep-cut covers and quieter ballads, without losing the drive that made the early singles stick.
Also on the bill, Stone Foundation bring a contemporary British soul sound with tight rhythms and warm, ensemble playing, slotting alongside Jones’s songbook and live band at The Piece Hall.
