Marina brings The Princess of Power Tour to O2 Academy Birmingham on 3 June 2026. Since the early days as Marina and the Diamonds, the Welsh artist has built a pop language that mixes direct melodies, a touch of new wave and writing that probes identity, fame, power and tangled feelings. The Family Jewels set the tone, Electra Heart pushed a character‑driven concept, Froot leaned into more organic arrangements, then Love + Fear and Ancient Dreams in a Modern Land opened the frame to social and ecological themes. On stage, she moves freely across those chapters, weaving bright synths, punchy rhythms and piano‑led moments into songs that stay close to the bone.
Opening is Canadian singer‑songwriter Mikayla Geier. First noticed with the EP Bloomington, she shaped her debut album Here We Go Again... around alternative pop and autobiographical writing, then kept a steady run of singles in 2025. A former ballet student, she folds movement and vulnerability into the storytelling, with a clear, precise voice and a taste for concise hooks.
