Info
Ethel Cain brings the WTF tour to Usher Hall, Edinburgh, on 28 June 2026. The project of American singer-songwriter Hayden Silas Anhedönia, Ethel Cain sits between slow-blooming dream pop, alternative rock edges, ambient textures and a touch of Americana. Built around themes of faith, family and Southern memory, her songs unfold at unhurried tempos with a voice in the foreground and arrangements that leave space for the story to breathe.
Early EPs Golden Age (2019) and Inbred (2021) set the tone for this narrative world, later expanded on the 2022 album Preacher’s Daughter. There, Southern Gothic imagery meets the pop and rock vocabulary of the 1990s and 2000s: atmospheric ballads, surges of saturated guitars, and minimalist passages that let tension rise and fall without hurry.
On stage, Ethel Cain leans into that cinematic feel with careful visuals and a set that moves like a road movie: lingering melodies, long arcs, flashes of noise and quiet confessions. Expect a live experience that traces the contours of her universe rather than rushing through it, letting each song open up its own landscape before the next one takes over.
