Thomas Fersen

Thomas Fersen will be appearing in Avignon on July 7, 2026, at La Scala Provence. Since the early 1990s he has carved out a distinctive place for himself with story-driven songs, rich in imagery and characters, that slip into everyday life. From the 45 rpm single “Ton Héros Jane” to his first album “Le bal des oiseaux,” which marked the start of his recognition and led to a Victoire de la Musique award, up to the project Thomas Fersen & The Ginger Accident, he has built a wide repertoire in which fantasy, observation and a sense of narrative intertwine.

On stage, Fersen plays with language, draws the audience into his contemporary fables and connects his various musical chapters, from his beginnings to his more recent songs. As both singer and songwriter, he tends to the text as carefully as the melody, with that narrative approach that forms the backbone of his concerts. At La Scala Provence in Avignon, he unfolds this singular universe—between discreet humor, recurring motifs and musical tales—for an event that places the songs front and center.
