Amble

Amble brings its contemporary folk to Live at the Docklands in Limerick on 22 August 2026. The Irish trio writes for voices and guitars, sitting between contemporary and indie folk with an intimate approach to songwriting. Launched in the early 2020s, the project first took shape online through a series of tracks before growing on stage in small rooms and independent spaces across Ireland.

On stage, Amble leans on close-knit harmonies, stripped-back arrangements and unhurried tempos that leave space for the words. The lyrics navigate relationships, vulnerability and the everyday in direct, plain language. Musically, the group keeps forms simple and shares melodies in chorus, favouring a warm acoustic palette that nods to folk tradition while aligning with a newer generation of acoustic artists. This balance gives their live set a focused, understated flow where the interplay of voices carries the songs and the dynamics stay near the surface, keeping attention on the writing as much as the sound.
