Mariza

Mariza returns to Paris with Amor, her new album, for a fado evening at L’Olympia on 28 January 2027. A leading figure of Lisbon’s musical renewal, she brings traditional fado into dialogue with more contemporary arrangements, without losing the attention to the lyrics and the breath that sustain this singing. Amor unfolds various shades of love, mixing unreleased songs, repertoire fados and reinterpretations, in a musical writing that builds bridges to other Lusophone and Mediterranean hues.

On stage, Mariza relies on a voice of generous timbre and precise phrasing, crafted for nuance. She alternates new tracks with pieces that have marked her journey since Fado em Mim, Fado Curvo and Mundo, to tell an ongoing story of today’s fado. Portuguese guitars, occasionally more orchestral textures, held silences and rising tensions shape a space where tradition remains central while breathing in the present. A concert conceived to present Amor and to offer a retrospective view of a trajectory that has carried fado far beyond Lisbon, for one evening at L’Olympia, Paris.
