Dropkick Murphys

Dropkick Murphys bring their Boston-bred Celtic punk to Vega, Copenhagen on July 24, 2026. Formed in 1996 in the suburbs of Boston, the band forged a sound where street-punk drive meets Irish folk melodies, with gang vocals and acoustic textures woven into electric riffs. Built around bassist Ken Casey, they first made their mark with Do or Die and The Gang’s All Here, then sharpened the mix on Blackout and The Warrior’s Code, the latter carrying I’m Shipping Up to Boston, written from Woody Guthrie’s words. Through the 2000s and 2010s they toured relentlessly, kept their Saint Patrick’s tradition alive in Boston, and released a steady run of records including Going Out in Style, 11 Short Stories of Pain & Glory and Turn Up That Dial, with occasional detours and collaborations along the way.

More recently, This Machine Still Kills Fascists pushed their dialogue with American folk even further, while holding onto the collective punch that defines the group. Onstage in Copenhagen, the set leans into chant-ready hooks, driving rhythms and folk-tinged arrangements, spanning nearly three decades of anthems and new material.
