Info

Kamelot brings the Dark Asylum World Tour to MTELUS in Montréal on 20 September 2026. Formed in Tampa in the early 90s by guitarist Thomas Youngblood, the band has shaped a sound at the crossroads of melodic power metal, symphonic textures and progressive twists. After their early heavy metal roots, the Roy Khan years pushed a conceptual streak with Epica and The Black Halo, while the current era with Swedish singer Tommy Karevik refines the balance between incisive riffs, orchestral arrangements and modern touches across Silverthorn, Haven, The Shadow Theory and The Awakening. On stage, the set navigates dark atmospheres, storytelling threads and big refrains carried by Karevik’s range and the band’s tight dynamics.

Sharing the bill, Visions of Atlantis flies the Austrian flag of symphonic metal with the dual voices of Clémentine Delauney and Michele Guaitoli. Since the early 2000s, the group has fused power-driven rhythms with sweeping orchestrations, evolving from the Atlantis mythos to wider seafaring imagery. Albums like The Deep & the Dark, Wanderers and the Pirates cycle feed a live show built on call-and-response vocals, melodic hooks and maritime moods, anchored by drummer and cofounder Thomas Caser.
