Friday, August 14, 2026, Le Grillen in Colmar hosts Sanguisugabogg. Formed in Columbus, Ohio, the band delivers a rough, groovy death metal that sits at the crossroads of brutal death and slam influences. First noticed with the demo/EP Pornographic Seizures (2019) on the Maggot Stomp label, they refined their approach on Tortured Whole (2021) and Homicidal Ecstasy (2023) on Century Media: heavy tempos, prominently guttural vocals, repetitive riffs, and marked contrasts between crushingly slow passages and quicker breaks. On stage, the four-piece emphasizes groove and rhythmic impact, with blunt, gore-soaked imagery inherited from the most direct strains of death metal. Seasoned by club and festival tours, Sanguisugabogg will present a compact set focused on the attack of the riffs and the dynamics typical of the genre.
