Info
Igloofest invites Chris Lake to Place Jean‑Béliveau in Québec on March 8, 2026. A British producer and DJ first noticed in European clubs in the early 2000s, he initially moved between trance and progressive house before establishing a sleeker house and tech‑house signature: four‑on‑the‑floor rhythms, punchy basslines and insistent vocal hooks. Based between Europe and Los Angeles, he released his first records on independent labels, went on to launch Rising Music and later developed Black Book Records, a showcase for direct, dancefloor‑focused house. He is also known for tight collaborations with Chris Lorenzo and Fisher, regularly heard in clubs and at festivals.
On stage, Chris Lake alternates between instrumentals designed for mixing and tracks built around pop hooks, crafting buildups without excess and keeping the pressure with taut grooves. Dry percussion, forward bass and seamless transitions shape an effective set in which the balance between club energy and melodic songwriting remains central to his approach.
