Flowdan arrives in Marseille on Thursday, 5 March 2026, at La Friche la Belle de Mai. An MC and producer from East London, he helped shape grime in the early 2000s as part of Roll Deep, moving between pirate radio and mixtapes. His deep, rough timbre and composed delivery, laced with dancehall inflections, quickly became his trademark.

Over the course of his releases, he broadened his palette toward British bass music, drawing connections to dubstep, drum and bass and sound-system conventions. His long-running collaboration with The Bug rooted him in dark, industrial textures, while he continued to rack up features with producers from different scenes and generations.

On record as on stage, Flowdan proceeds directly, without unnecessary effects, letting rhythm and diction speak for themselves. Think of his appearances with Skrillex, Chase & Status or Danny Byrd, and of “Rumble,” co-produced with Skrillex and Fred again.., the track that earned him a 2024 Grammy for Best Dance/Electronic Recording — a first for a grime artist.
