Info
Gauvain Sers, a singer-songwriter born in Limoges and raised in La Souterraine, belongs to the tradition of lyric-driven French chanson. Spotted as the opening act for Renaud, he became known with Pourvu in 2017, a record nourished by everyday stories, sensitive portraits and gripping details. His writing strikes a balance between social chronicle and intimate confession, carried by a guitar that makes room for the words.
With Les oubliés (2019), he shines a light on rural France, the closing social strata and those discreet lives we seldom hear, carrying these themes into a tour that focused on small towns. Ta place dans ce monde (2021) explores generational doubts, family ties and trajectories that take unexpected turns, without losing the thread of clear, direct songwriting.
Gauvain Sers will be at the Théâtre de l’Atrium in Dax on December 5, 2026. On stage he draws from his three albums, delivers his lyrics with restraint and cultivates closeness, between stripped-down melodies and a clear voice. It’s an opportunity to revisit his signature songs and to see where his writing stands today.
